Panadería Rosetta
THE EARLY RISERS:
This is probably a place you’ve heard of before, known for their heavenly croissants and their guava pastries Rosetta is no stranger to crowds which is why this place is perfect for early risers who like to get a head start on the day and avoid the crowds. The perfect way to start the day: grab a coffee, a croissant and walk the streets of beautiful Roma Norte.
Madre Café
THE LADIES WHO BRUNCH:
This place is perfect for brunching but if your plans change and you stay a bit longer the drinks are just as good as the food here (the carajillos are especially good). The architecture of the restaurant is simply gorgeous and super insta friendly so prepare a cute outfit for your ladies’ brunch!
Eno Roma
THE SPORTY CROWD:
This place has become a staple for the sporty crowd of Mexico City, whether you just finished yoga or pilates, or finished running or biking this place is the perfect one to replenish your energy. The chilaquiles and the huevos rancheros are delicious here and everything has a “nutritious” touch.
LALO
THE ARTSY CROWD:
If you’re looking for a creative and relaxed space Lalo! is the place for you. Whether you and your friends want to visit for breakfast or lunch, both menus will leave you delighted. If you choose to go there for breakfast we recommend you order the french toast.
Meroma Restaurante
THE WANNA‑BE HIPSTERS:
Meroma's is a really nice and relaxing place, there’s just a couple of tables in it and the food is amazing. The decoration is really nice and picture perfect, but what we love the most is the food; we recommend the orecchiette they’re amazing!
El Auténtico Pato Manila
THE ACTUAL HIPSTERS:
This place has a vibe of its own. The duck tacos here are different to anything you’ve tasted before and super yummy! The service is excellent and the atmosphere is friendly and informal. Our favorites are the Kim tacos!
Puerto Prendes
THE FASHION CROWD:
The place is simply incredible, located inside an old Roma style house this restaurant incorporates old and new in a very stylish way. Everything on the menu is simply incredible, but the Rosarito tacos are a must. The cocktails have a very nice twist to them and the music is incredible!
Restaurante San Angel Inn
THE CULTURAL CROWD:
This is a Mexico City classic. You can pair your visit with the Frida and Diego museum (just across the street) and with the Bazaar del Sábado. The cuisine focuses mainly on traditional Mexican dishes and everything is amazing. If you visit during September you should definitely order the Chiles en Nogada.
Contramar
THE LOUD CROWD:
This is a staple in Mexico City. if you haven’t been yet you should consider visiting soon. You will always run into someone here or make friends with the table next door, so if you’re loud and friendly this is the place for you! The food is amazing and the service is friendly and quick. You should book a table beforehand since it is always full. The tostadas de atún are one of our favorites.
Hotel Umbral
THE CHILL CROWD:
This is the new kid of the block when it comes to terraces. In the center of the city this terrace offers beautiful views, amazing food and cocktails and a relaxing place in the midst of a chaotic city. We recommend you order “la cortesía de la abuela”.
